Spanish

Welcome to the Spanish language program at Diamond Path!

Bienvenidos!

Spanish is one of two languages offered at Diamond Path School of International Studies. Students in grades K-5 receive 100 minutes of language instruction in a 6 day cycle.

While in the Spanish language classroom, students will participate in language learning in all 4 modalities: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The goal of our language program is to expose students to culture through language learning, to gain an understanding and appreciation for international studies, and to learn HOW TO LEARN a language.

Various topics are covered throughout the year. The units of study are created to support classroom learning. For example, second grade has a weather unit and while in Spanish class, students engage with weather vocabulary and activities to practice those weather terms.
